Linguist team
Coach training was a major achievement for the Linguistics team this November, with a training workshop led by Annie and manual prepared for new coaches wanting to start coaching language students for the first time. We then launched both at an online workshop in Jakarta for one of our corporate clients and the coaches they wanted to train up to oversee their 60 student users.
Vocabulary, always one of the proudest points in our program, was further optimised by one of our linguistic team members Jerod by integrating the vocabulary program to better integrate with the AI. Now it will be delivered at just the time the user needs it, when they have finished memorising the previous set of vocabulary.
In the coming months, we are looking forward to completing an industry-specific vocabulary analysis for a client to optimise their clients’ English language learning for working in their specific workplace domain.
Programming team
An app version of GFGD was launched to a few early beta users. As initial problems have been identified Ali has been making corrections in preparation to launching the app more broadly. The App has also had a new and improved ‘Plan’ page added to it thanks to Gersona, this will make the mid-week experience for students between check-in sessions much more intuitive.
Michael has made it easier for translators to improve on translations previously submitted by other translators making it even more efficient for teams of translators to work together.
And lastly, Michael added the ability for the app to make and upload recordings.
In the coming months we are looking forward to adding a pronunciation test feature by which students can submit recordings of themselves to receive feedback on their pronunciation. We are working on a whole host of features that will enable Practice Partners to offer bookings that can be reserved by students.
